Management Committee

The Management Committee for the Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Food is a small steering group of Oxford academics who assist the Director of the Programme, Professor Charles Godfray.

Members of the committee:

Professor Liam Dolan
Sherardian Professor of Botany

Liam Dolan’s research interests are in cellular development and evolution in land plants, using specialized rooting cells and root hairs as models.

He is Co-director of the Plants for the 21st Century School, a member of the Oxford Martin School.

Professor Jim Hall
Director, Environmental Change Institute & Professor of Climate and Environmental Risks, School of Geography and the Environment

Jim Hall examines the management of climate-related risks in infrastructure systems, in particular relating to flooding, coastal erosion and water scarcity.

He leads the Oxford Water Security Research Network.

Dr Mike Rayner
Director of the British Heart Foundation Health Promotion Research Group, Department of Public Health

Mike Rayner’s research interests lie in public health promotion, contributing to the development of effective methods for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease.

Professor Doug Gollin
Professor of Development Economics

Doug Gollin is an economist whose research focuses broadly on economic development and growth.
